A girl from Haren, Netherlands, had not set her 16th birthday’s invitation to “private”. Later she cancelled the party and local police issued an appeal to would-be revellers not to come to Haren. 3,000 people showed up anyway. The celebration ended bad – the crowd looted shops and clashed with riot police, at least six people were hurt and 20 arrested.
